APT brings Aussie wine excellence to the Mosel

APT brings Aussie wine excellence to the Mosel

If the all-inclusive bar wasn’t enough onboard the APT AmaVenita, the top performing Diamond partners have been treated to a unique wine Masterclass by Leading Australian vintner, Tom Hardy of Thomas Hardy Wines.

It’s impossible to not be drawn into Tom’s unrivalled knowledge and passion for wines as he talks us through six of his own collection. As the on board Wine Ambassador, Tom serves as an approachable, personable part of the entire cruising experience with a wealth of understanding of the industry at home and abroad – we’re later given an insightful commentary of the vineyards we pass through on the Mosel.

Tom is one of a number of Wine Ambassadors in the APT fold who escort cruises from the specialist Wine Series. These cruises are curated around the love and interest of wine, allowing passengers to experience diverse wineries and meet the local vintners themselves.

Special hosts like Tom will conduct wine tastings on board as well as dinners with complete wine pairing. Bringing a combination of their own wines and local varieties, the hosts explain the nuances of traditional wine-making techniques and educate guests on European wine heritage and traditions, they are also with cruise for the duration, becoming as much a guest as host.
